Gran Fondo PEI

The first event of its kind in the Maritimes, Gran Fondo PEI will be back for its 12th year! Mark your calendar for August 22 – 23, 2025 and take part in the next Fondo.

Gran Fondo PEI is a two-day cycling event cruising through the beautiful vistas of Prince Edward Island, Canada. This iconic cycling event is designed for both recreational and enthusiastic cyclists who are looking for an epic weekend of riding, food, and camaraderie. 

Our carefully selected cycling routes are filled with idyllic views, iconic rolling hills, and coastal cliffs. This is truly a must-ride event for cycling fanatics. 

Only have time for one day of riding? There is something for everyone at this year’s Gran Fondo. Join us on Friday, August 22 with three different ride options or on Saturday, August 23, where you can choose from riding in the Gran Fondo (~150 km) or the Medio Fondo (~101 km).​

Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island) is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. The Epekwitnewaq Mi’kmaq have occupied this Island for over 12,000 years. We honour the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which recognized Mi’kmaq rights and established an ongoing relationship between nations. We are all Treaty People.
